Jeep Compass has added a new variant Longitude (O) in the portfolio of Compass. The new trim has been launched at price of Rs. 18.9 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The new variant gets additional features both inside and out as compared to Sport trim variant. Now the petrol version of Jeep Compass comes in all four variant Sport, Longitude (O), Limited, and Limited Plus. The Compass petrol takes on rivals including the Hyundai Tucson, Mahindra XUV500 and Hyundai Creta.
Jeep Compass petrol Longitude (O) comes with the features including with keyless entry, projector headlamps with LED position lamps, push-button start, rear fog lamps, electric ORVMs, and 17-inch alloy wheels. Inside the cabin, the new variant gets a seven-inch infotainment system, dual-zone climate control, reverse parking sensors and six speakers.
The new variant of Compass petrol variant is powered by a 1.4-liter MultiAir turbocharged engine which generates a max power of 160 bhp and a peak torque of 260 Nm. The engine comes with a 7-speed DDCT dual-clutch automatic transmission on the Longitude (O), but a manual transmission is available with the Sport trim. The company claims the fuel efficiency for the Compass is 14.3 kmpl on the petrol manual version. All-wheel drive (AWD) version is not available on Compass petrol yet.
Jeep India launched the Compass Black Pack edition at Rs 20.59 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) last year in October. The Black Pack is available only for the top end Limited (O) variant and as the name suggests, the black treatment is one of the major changes both inside and out.
