Nissan has officially launched the Gravite in India. It is a new sub-4 metre 7 seater MPV, with introductory prices starting at Rs 5.65 lakh, ex-showroom.
The Gravite is based on the Renault Triber but comes with exterior and interior updates to give it a slightly different identity. With this new offering, Nissan is looking to strengthen its presence in India’s affordable MPV segment.
The Nissan Gravite is offered in four broad trims: Visia, Acenta, N Connecta, and Tekna. Here are the introductory prices:
All prices are ex-showroom, pan India.
Bookings are now open across Nissan dealerships. Deliveries are expected to begin from March 2026.
If I talk about exterior, the Gravite carries the same overall silhouette as the Renault Triber. Since both models share the same platform, the proportions and body structure remain unchanged.
At the front, Nissan has added a bold grille with a honeycomb pattern. The bonnet gets GRAVITE lettering, giving it a stronger road presence. Slim LED DRLs are connected by a chrome strip, which adds a modern touch.

From the side, the design looks very similar to the Triber. It gets the same tall roofline, large window area and roof rails. The Gravite rides on 15-inch stylised steel wheels. At the rear, it features wraparound LED tail lamps connected by a chrome strip. The bumper gets C shaped silver accents, matching the front styling elements.
The Gravite is available in five colour options: Onyx Black, Storm White, Metallic Grey, Blade Silver and Forest Green.
The Gravite gets a dual tone black and beige cabin theme. The dashboard design is familiar and closely resembles the older Renault Triber layout. At the centre is an 8 inch touchscreen infotainment system. Below it are three rotary knobs for manual climate control, making the layout simple and easy to use.

The steering wheel is a three spoke unit with mounted controls. It is paired with a semi digital instrument cluster. The overall design focuses on practicality rather than flashy elements. The seats get a leatherette finish and are designed to offer comfort. The MPV also comes with eight AC vents to ensure proper airflow for all three rows.
The Nissan Gravite comes with:
On the safety front, it gets six airbags as standard. Other safety features include ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, rear parking sensors with a camera, and a tyre pressure monitoring system.
The Gravite is powered by a 1-litre, three-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine. Ot generates 72 PS power and 96 Nm Torque. This engine is paired with 5 speed manual or 5-speed AMT Transmission. Nissan claims fuel efficiency or 19.3 kmpl for MT and 19.6 kmpl for AMT.
The Nissan Gravite competes directly with the Renault Triber. It also serves as a more affordable alternative to models like the Maruti Ertiga, Maruti XL6, and Kia Carens.
